Tampa Bay Offshore Fishing Report

The Kingfish run is in full swing on the Suncoast with banner catches coming in every day!
On a recent Grouper trip 20 miles into the Gulf, we had multiple cut-offs from hungry Kings while dropping frozen sardines in 60 feet of water.
Getting tired of re-rigging everybody’s line, we broke out the Kingfish sticks and proceeded to put 6 in the cooler.

Speaking og Grouper, they have been very active in the 25-60 foot depths. While sabiking bait at the St. Pete artificial reef, we laid out a flat line with a 8 inch blue runner attached. When the reel started screaming, everybody thought “BIG KING”—but it turned out to be a 27 inch Gag Grouper.

Fishing does not get much better than this—so if you’ve got the time get out there!!!

Catch’em up!
