Lake Ontario New York

Postby SalmonRiverPulaskiNY » Fri Jul 27, 2007 1:20 pm

The fishing on Lake Ontario New York continues to be very good. King Salmon are being caught in water depths from 100-130 FOW. Brown Trout are being caught from 60-80 FOW. It's been great. The charter boat captains all seem to agree that it's been the best in years. Here's a picture of John Rucando below holding a King Salmon he caught on Lake Ontario Sunday July 22. That day he and 2 other friends caught 4 King Salmon in only a few short hours. The biggest was 20 pounds. All females and very fresh! Today, July 27 I have reports that many brown trout were caught early this morning out of the Mexico Bay area. There were a few Kings caught as well. For more information about fishing Lake Ontario New York out of the Pulaski area, please contact Dawn Rucando, owner of Yankee Fly & Tackle Shop, www.FishTheSalmonRiver.com (315) 298-2466. We're still booking summer lake charters. The fishing is GREAT!!!! Check out our specials on the front page of our website!
