The Dock Line You Never Tie!!

Postby knotlessboatrope » Tue May 27, 2003 3:05 pm

As both fishermen and boaters, we see many new products come on the market each year. Some of these products revolutionize the world of boating and fishing. Most of these products never make it. At first glance, Knotless Boat Rope is a product that might be overlooked. But after you start using the rope its amazing how many different uses one can find for this product.

Knotless Boat Rope is a single section of durable shock cord that is divided into sections using stainless steel clamps. By dividing the rope into sections, the rope can be easily adjusted and used for multiple tasks at the same time, such as securing a fender and/or mooring the boat. Alone, Knotless Boat Rope can stretch from eight inches to eight feet and secure any watercraft up to 5,000 pounds. The rope can be doubled up to secure heavier boats and looped together if a longer piece is needed.

Knotless Boat Rope was designed as a temporary mooring and can be used on all types of watercraft. Its a quick and easy way to secure fenders, raft boats together, and hold a boat at the dock while weighing in fish or going to the parking lot to grab the truck and trailer. The rope also stores easily on any boat cleat, ready to pull off any amount of rope needed. Knotless Boat Rope is also excellent to tie down cargo in the bed of a pickup truck. Any stable cleat, ring, or piling can become an anchoring point for this rope.

Tim Greer created The Knotless Boat Rope while restoring his own boat. At the time, Tim was interested in changing careers. After working on several different ideas for products, Tim decided that Knotless Boat Rope was the idea he would develop. He then made a prototype rope and walked into a marina in the Spartanburg, SC area to see if they were interested. The owner took one look and promptly ordered one hundred of the ropes. As Tim said, I had no packaging and the rope I showed the owner was the only one in existence. Tim immediately went to his boss, Eddie Smith (Bickle-Smith Motorsports), for guidance and Eddie helped Tim get a patent and finance the project. As Tim aptly put it, An idea without financing is just another idea. G-Wizz Marketing and Promotions now markets The Knotless Boat Rope.

Knotless Boat Rope is an extremely useful product and retails at $19.99 for a package of two ropes. All the ropes are made in Statesville, North Carolina. Tim is donating ten percent of all profits to Big Oak Ranch in Springville, Alabama. The ranch is a safe haven for abused and neglected children and has no federal or state funding.
