Panama City Fishing report

Postby FishThis » Fri Oct 17, 2008 3:32 pm

Guy's i would like to start a weelky fishing report for the local area. Once a week or as much as you want. What do yall think? Mostly for the Panama City area. I'm out every weekend, I love to go offshore and bottom fish for the Grouper and Snapper, but when the weather is bad i stay inshore. I have only been here for about a year ( Military ) but i have had great luck with the fishing. The Red Snapper are bitting good in the 60-85 foot range and the grouper and amberjack are also their. Last weekend the Big reds are in over buy Old Pass, i had to release 4 reds that were over 27". The trout are in the same area. Spanish Mackerl are all over the place, but seem to be concentrated around St andrews Pass. Guys let me know what you think about this fourm. We need to get this going. Their is not much in the Panama City area for a good fishing report. So lets make our own.

Thanks Rudy for the reply. I will send the word out, i work with a lot of anglers and i will get them connected with this web site. As of today Oct.18th a cold front came in along with a full moon thursday night. It was cold this morning and the wind was blowing 15 to 20. So i launched my boat behind the old water treatment plant on Tyndall AFB. It launches me right into St Andrews Sound, on the horizion i saw birds hitting the water after bait fish along the shore. Once i got their all i did was through the anchor and starting casting. We caught 7 Reds and every one was over 25" and toped out at 33" the trout were their along with a few Spainish Mackerl. For a crappy weather day the fishing was great. Here it is 11:20am and i am already home. I got cold real guick , plus i forgot to buy ice...

Later,
I will be back tomorrow
Lets Go Fishing

Thanks
