Capt. Joel Wakeland and I hit the coast early this morning only to find dirty to stained water. After one hour of fishing for trout and zero bites it was time to hit the ponds. Our first two ponds were stacked with reds that were hungry for our gold spoons and spinner baits. We had reds all around us with multiple hook-ups. We scouted some new locations picking up reds at each stop. The winds laid down a little which made for a awesome day on the water. Most of the ponds we fished had pretty water (only a few with stained water). Most of our fish were caught in the ponds with the cleanest water in cuts. All fish today were released except for one fish over 27 inches (going on the grill!!!).
