Slow day On the DU 4-7-2012

Postby Capt Marty » Sun Apr 15, 2012 12:59 pm

Even tougher today than yesterday. Had my good customer Al Reaux and crew back on board. Slow day from start to finish. We covered North Mechant to South Sister to Moncluese down to the coast with little success. Not one keeper fish under the 20 flocks of birds we fished and only a few keepers on the numerous reefs we tried. Full moon and high pressure had the fish with lock jaw today. I can say today was the toughest day I have had fishing as long as I can remember. It can only get better from here, as we have had the most incredible Winter and Spring run that I can ever remember. Looking forward to the fish turning back on in the next couple days, until then I'm taking a couple days off. Good luck out there. Thanks to my crew for sticking it out today.

Have a Happy Easter everyone.
