Chino island for bait...where is it?

Postby Forkdays » Thu Mar 11, 2004 12:48 pm

Where is Chino? Is it the island north of the sanibel causway that is right next to the channel with the tall pine trees on it? Just got a boat and need to know if that is the island I am thinking of.

Chino Island

Chino is the first big island just north of the powerlines after you run through the Mail Run Cut. There's a deep trough along the east side, and a long bar on the north end that runs out toward Redfish Pass.

Where is Chino in Pine Island Sound?

Chino is located exactly where Capt. Butch Richey says it is. There is an abundance of great fishing there. You name it, it's there. "GiddyUp"
