Lake Eufaula - Freshwater Fishing Report
Water level 185.24 msl
Water Temperature 77 degrees F
Clarity slight stain to clear
The water continues to drop. Some of the river cans North of the 82 causeway are missing as well as some of the pole markers in Cowikee Creek. Use extreme caution when navigation the water. If you have a lake map in your fish finder, it will be a big help.Pay attention to all the green cover growing everywhere and also all the trees and structure that is exposed right now. All this will be great fishing areas when the water comes up.
Bass are working the shallows and becoming active with the cooler water. The fish are short striking baits right now, as the fronts move out and the weather stabilizes towards the weekend, the fishing should pick up and some good bags will come to the scales for the tournaments.
Crank baits, blade baits and soft plastics did a good job early this week, even yjough we lost a lot from short strikes.
Pan Fish are doing okay on worms. The creeks and flats off the main river are the spots to fish.
Cats are always a good way to relax and put a meal on the table.
