Lake Eufaula - Freshwater Fishing Report

Water Level 185.49
WATER temperature -60's
Clarity Stained
Winter patterns are in play now. The vegetation is disappearing, the deep water jig and spoon fishing is working. Slow, deep crank baits will work as well. Work the rip rap and cuts with lighter jigs and finesse baits. Look for the stems from the dying pads, the bass are still working these areas early, they hold bait.
Crappie are ready for some good fishing trips. The stable weather forecast for the coming weeks will make the crappie more willing to bite. They react to the changing barometer more than others. The trolling over the ledge tops will be good. The small Cabin Creek Umbrella rigs are a top choice for the serious fisherman. Check them out at www.cabincreekjigs.com.
The water remains very low and safe navigation is a must. Stay in the creek markers and river cans when underway. Use your maps on your electronics if you have them available, some of the markers are missing. There is plenty of safe water to enjoy and the river is full of good fishing. With hunting season in full swing on both sides of the river, the water is wide open to the hard core fisherman. Be safe and enjoy God's creation.

God Bless & Good Fishn'
