Lake Eufaula, Alabama

Capt. Sam Williams
May 13, 2013
Lake Eufaula - Freshwater Fishing Report

Lake level 189.14 msl
Clarity slight stain
Temperature 62 to 70

The 30 degree temperature swing from day to day has the water temperature jumping all over the chart. Be sure and bring warm cloths if you are traveling from out of town.

The bass are feeding shallow when the sun gets up. The frog, fluke or buzz bait are all working. Texas rigged soft plastics worked over the top and dropped at the edge then worked slow back to the boat is also getting a bite. The fish will follow it our and pick it up.

In the deeper water, the heavy football jig is working when you swim it back slowly.

Pan fish are still eating crickets and worm's along the bank line around cover.

Crappie are doing better at night under the lights.

Catfish on jugs are keeping the fishermen busy working the jugs. You can get all you want to clean if you find a cove where the wind lets you keep an eye on the jugs.

We have the FLW in town this week, weigh in is at Lake Point on Thursday and Friday at 2:00 P.M. and at WalMart on Saturday and Sunday. Come out and enjoy the fun FLW has lined up for everyone.

We have a benefit tournament on June 1 at Lake Point for Bernardo Solorio, a 15 year old boy with the Eufaula High School Bass Team with Leukemia. This is sponsored by the Bass Club, contact club president Dylan Pugh 334 355 1532 for details. Those pre fishing for the Lee King tournament the next weekend, it is a good way to fish a tournament at the same time. Entry fee is $65.00 per team

Please visit www.leekingbenefit.org and register for our 13 th tournament, or call 334 355 5057 for details. We have the first two flights full.

Be sure and keep sunscreen and water with you as you go on the water. Dress in layers, it does warm up when the sun gets up but you will need a jacket when you are under way.

Enjoy what God has provided for us, fishing is good and the experience is forever.

God Bless & Good Fishn'
Capt. Sam
