Lake Eufaula, Alabama

Capt. Sam Williams
October 11, 2016
Lake Eufaula - Freshwater Fishing Report

Lake Level 187.53 msl
Water Temperature mid 70's
Water Clarity clear to slight stain

The latest shad hatch has been fantastic. The thread fin fry are growing fast and the fish are feeding steady. The are full and healthy. That is making the bite a little tougher. Jerk baits and lip-less cranks are working through the schools during feeding frenzies. Shaky heads with short trick worms are getting a good bite near the pad cover and shore cover.

Crappie are doing well on the trash piles with jigs and minnows.

Shell crackers are coming in good numbers on red worms.

Catfish are a good bet , jug fishing is producing some great catches.

Visit www.alabamachildrensclaassic.org and see the new opportunities to support the kid's and their families while being treated at the hospital in Birmingham. You will also find a code to register for the new free sports app and the proceeds go to the foundation as well.

Enjoy the great cooler weather on the water.

God Bless & Good Fishn'
Capt. Sam
