Alabama Fishing Report for Lake Eufaula

Capt. Sam Williams
May 5, 2002
Lake Eufaula - Freshwater Fishing Report

Bass fishing continues toget more into a regular pattern as the weather gets more stable. The rains keep the water temp. cooler than normal, keeping the fish in the shallow grass longer. Chartruse spinner blades still are favorites. The BASS Masters are in town this week looking for patterns in preperation for the Wed. start. Lot's of good things planned on town this week while the pro's are here. Check with me if you are interested in any of the activities. Meet the Chevy team at Northlake's south store from 6 P.M.- 8 P.M. on Wed. 5-8-02.

Crappie and Catfish continue to provide a great time on the Lake. The meals are worth the trip. Plan a fun trip and a fish fry with family or neighbors.

June is "Take A Kid Fishing Month". Here in Alabama, June 8 is "free " fishing day. You do not need a license. Take advantage of it.

Go to bassangler.com and click on the Lee King Benefit Buddy Tournament site. The application in ready to download. We are planning a fun day for the entire family. If you are staying at a local motel, we will have local church vans at each one at 7:30 A.M. to pick up Mom and the kid's to transport them to Lakepoint for a fun, free day for the children. The first 150 will receive a free rod and reel, the next 100 will get a tackle pack. There will be 500 pounds of fish in the netted off beach area for the kids to work on. We will have casting after lunch and certificates from Hooked on Fishing International for the winners. We will have a lunch for $1.00 for everyone, everything else is free, just come and enjoy God's great outdoors and help us find a cure for Niemann-Pick Disease. You can make a difference.

These children have only their childhood to live a lifetime.

God Bless & Good Fishn' Capt. Sam
