Alabama Fishing Report for Lake Eufaula

Capt. Sam Williams
January 8, 2003
Lake Eufaula - Freshwater Fishing Report

The cold winter winds have made fishing unbearable, except for the crappie fishermen. They usually don't go out much before 9:00 A.M. and the bitter cold has started to fade to the warming sun. It has been so cold and windy even sitting in a hunting stand has taken some real effort.

Bass can be taken on the ledges, finding clear or "cleaner" water is the secret. If you do not have patience to fish really slow, chances are you will only be getting a cold work out.

Lake Eufaula promises to be very exciting this coming year as we have many major tournaments scheduled for Lake Point Marina.

Remember to mark you schedule for the 3rd Annual Lee King Benefit Buddy Tournament on June 14, 2003. We will have the entry forms ready soon and they will be posted on the web as well. Your participation will help the National Niemann-Pick Disease Foundation as we attempt to raise finds to find a cure for this devistating terminal illness which effects our young. Visit the foundation web site for more info www.nnpdf.org

'till next report,

God Bless & Good Fishn'
