Alabama Fishing Report for Lake Eufaula

Capt. Sam Williams
April 16, 2003
Lake Eufaula - Freshwater Fishing Report

The weather patterns are trying to level out and fishing is looking better. The mornings are still chilly but by 9:00 it is time for short sleeves and sun tan lotion.

Bass are still in the shallows early and the spinner or buzz bait are doing great. The Texas rig worm and lizard are also good for the slow hit. I was out all day Tuesday and we experienced a short hit with lots of hits and no fish. We changed to a 4" Kinami Flash and began to hook up. The moon is full tonight and beautiful.

Crappie fishermen are showing up after 8:00 A.M. and doing great. The night crew is loading up and eating very well.

Cat fish are always cooperating and make for a great meal.

We stopped and talked to a nice couple in the Witches ditch and they were having fun with some shellcrackers on worms.

The weather is just right now to enjoy some great days on the water. A visit to Lake Eufaula, Alabama will prove to be a memorable experience. Make plans for a weekend or a week, you will not regret the experience.

Be sure and check out the Lee King Benefit Buddy Tournament web site. "till next time, God Bless & Good Fishn' Capt. Sam
