Lake Guntersville Fishing Report

Capt. Jim Leary
March 13, 2015
Lake Guntersville - Freshwater Fishing Report

Lake Guntersville is acting like its January (for me) and the fish just are not in huge numbers all over just yet but they are trying really hard and with the weather breaking things should only get better. Had a couple of Indiana guys come down and fish with me yesterday and they fished hard all day and never gave up and boated several nice bass.

A SPRO Little John on the rip rap gave up the 1st bass of the day we then worked grass lines where the bass should be and we found several that wanted to eat a Aruku Shad.

Grass in the 6-8 ft range was fresh Milfoil Grass growing nicely and the bass where around it and in it. Just a TIP when you have one slap at your bait its a good idea to fish the area out. We had several just slap at our baits and a few cast later we would hook up with one in the same area.

Take Care and see you on the water.

Water Temp 53
Stained
