Lake Guntersville - Freshwater Fishing Report

Guntersville Bass Guides 256-698-6593

The heat limited the time on the water this past week with the real feel touching 110 degrees each day. Water temp is in the low 90s and the bass just can't keep their mouths off our lures. With numbers and quality its hard to say its too hot to fish, and its not if you have the right gear. I feel that with the heat and the type of gear we have at our finger tips to help protect us from the sun and heat we can go all day long that is if we drink plenty of water. The Gear Im Talking about is ISO CHILL its made by Under Armour I've been wearing it this year and I can tell a huge difference on the way I feel during and after a Hot day on the water. Check it all out and see for yourself.

The bass have been on a tear making fishing exciting with thumping strikes and aerobatic fights this is what I love about Lake Guntersville. The river grass has em and if your not probing the grass with a NetBait C-Mac worm in Green Pumpkin or a 4x4 Bass Jig tipped with a Paca Craw then you might be missing some of these Tennessee River Bass. Keeping the boat in deeper water and casting to the grass has been great for the numbers a lot of 3-4 lb fish and when your ready to wrangle something bigger we are flipping 4x4 Heavy Hitter Jig with a Paca Craw Green Pumpkin on the back, flipping it in the thick grass and holding on because they are fighting as hard as they have all year. You'll see young Blake had a great day with his father catching the fire out of them it seemed every time I got done un hooking one the other would be hooked up fighting another to the boat we had a great trip , couldn't of asked for a better day. I managed to get out late the same day to see what I could get in to and I found out real fast , had to leave them biting fished a spot for 20 mins and it was every flip and they was all grown. It was some great Bass Therapy.

Had a great Night Fishing trip this week had a great time dragging B Bugs in the Dark.

Fishing is great here on Lake Guntersville and before we all know it the grass will be matted and punching and froggin will be in full effect so now is the time to book your fall fishing trip with me before all the spots are taken.
October and November should be awesome like always.

I have days open to fish with you!
