Striper guide Mike Walker says its on at Lake Martin

Mike Walker
August 8, 2016
Lake Martin - Freshwater Fishing Report

It's that time of year on Lake Martin. The striped bass are moving to the lower end of the lake and once that is complete. It will be 3 of the best months for numbers of stripers. In the mornings fish are between 30-50 feet, but once the sun comes up its a deep water game. 60-100 feet is where you'll catch them then. Live bait and trolling are the top producers. The lake is down about three feet and gin clear right now. Concentrate on main channel humps and points.
