Deepdrop fishing off Alabama Gulf Coast

Capt. Don McPherson
June 30, 2008
Orange Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report

We are really enjoying some great deepdrop fishing off the Alabama Gulf Coast. We are learning everytime we go. This is fairly new in our area with the exception of a few captains that have beem offering some deepdrop fishing on 2 day trips. We have caught golden tilefish, a giant ribbon fish, a scorpion fish, snowy grouper and yellowedge grouper. We are offering deepdrop fishing in addition to our conventional 12 hour bottomfishing trips and our offshore big game trolling trips. We usually deepdrop for a couple of hours in addition to our other fishing.

Fishing has been great on our 4, 6, 8 and 12 hour fishing charters. We are catching king mackerel, Spanish mackerel, grouper, amberjack, scamp red snapper ... We are also enjoying our family fishing trips. Enjoy the good food, good music and good fishing. We are all about fun and fishing.
