Alabama Red Snapper Season
Red Snapper season is finlly open and the excitement is in the air. Everyone is fishing and in search for the big red snapper. The Red Snapper Tournament pays $25,000 to the angler and $25,000 to the boat for 1st place. It also pays through 20 places to $1,000. Triggerfish and vermillion snapper have beeen added for a 1st place prize of $5,000 and pays through 3 places.
We have been fishing every day since snapper season opened and having some nice catches of red snapper, triggerfish, vermillion snapper, grouper and scamp.
We are looking forward to several 12 and 14 hour trips over the next few days. We will be in search for the big red one along with all of the many other fish. We will always take a big gag or black grouper.
The king mackeral are also beginning to show up. Come on and let's go fishing.
