Orange Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report

Alabama Deep Sea Fishing from Orange Beach
We are heading toward late January and Spring is near. I have the Getaway in the boatyard for regular annual maintenance. A little paint and some wax and she will be shining again in another week. The big redfish bite is still on, according to some of my fellow Captains. However, it has been a little quiet in Orange Beach and Gulf Shores, Alabama in the past two weeks. We have experienced some rain and a few cool days. We all know here in Orange Beach that this weather does not last long. We should have some sunshine and temps in the 60's in a few days. I have a couple of offshore bottomfishing trips planned in a couple of weeks for vermillion snapper, white snapper, triggerfish, scamp, grouper and amberjack. We are ready for some Alabama deep sea fishing action. We are booking for the 2007 season. The red snapper world championship tournament begins April 21st and runs through May 20th. I have one Saturday remaining and some Sundays and weekdays open for the tournament. The cobia (ling) will begin to show near the beaches in mid March. These fish can weigh up to 100 pounds and can give you an awesome fight on spinning tackle. Come and enjoy some Alabama deep sea fishing in 2007.
