Gulf Coast Fishing Report - Orange Beach

Capt. Don McPherson
March 4, 2007
Orange Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report

Gulf Shores and Orange Beach fishing

We had a great 4 hour Alabama fishing charter today. The redfish bite is still on. These big bull redfish will give you a good fight and should be around another couple of weeks or more. Adam and his group were taking their fish to Geno's Fresh Catch Grill which is just steps away from the Getaway. I am sure they enjoyed some delicious blackened redfish. Two cobia were spotted a couple of days ago. We should be having some cobia action by mid March. These fish can weigh over 100 pounds and can be a fight of a lifetime on spinning tackle. A 20 or 30 pounder can also put a smile on your face. Grouper season opens March 16th and we are ready to travel offshore for some grouper, scamp, vermillion snapper, triggerfish, white snapper and amberjack. Come join us this Spring for some great fishing on a 4, 6 or 12 hour trip. 8 and 10 hour trips available upon request.
