Orange Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report

Gulf Shores fishing, Orange Beach fishing
January has arrived and we will probably have a mixed bag of weather similar to December. We have experienced highs in the 70's and some days in the 50's. The big bull redfish bite is still hot and should continue till early April. You can enjoy catching these big fish on 4, 5 and 6 hour nearshore trips. A north wind is most desirable, usually creating a better redfish bite and also giving us nice calm seas along the beach where the redfish are located. A few triggerfish and vermillion snapper have beeen caught on 8 hour trips.
The Saltwater Series tournament in Orange Beach, Alabama will begin April 5th and continue through May 26th. Grouper, amberjack, vermillion snapper, triggerfish, king mackerel, wahoo and much more are included in this tournament. Only a $10 netry fee per angler.
