Gulf Coast Fishing Report - Orange Beach

Capt. Don McPherson
January 25, 2008
Orange Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report

Gulf Shores fishing

January has brought us some nice warm days and some cold days. Gulf Shores fishing is still good. The redfish bite is still good for big bull redfish weighing from 15 to 30 pounds. Awesome fishing on light tackle. Many people have been in the woods hunting. However, the offshore bite is good when we get good weather to travel offshore. A few amberjack have been caught along with some triggerfish, vermillion snapper and white snapper. Grouper and scamp should be biting. I just have not received a report on them. Fishing Gulf Shores and Orange Beach Alabama in the winter and spring can be awesome. Come give it a try.
