LEWIS SMITH LAKE, ALABAMA - STRIPED BASS ARE BUSTING ON TOPWATER

Mike Walker

Smith Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

Smith Lake
December 3rd, 2013

After a cold slow start to the weekend, Sunday and Monday helped make up for Friday and Saturday. Topwater action on both days help put plenty of fish in the boat. Anytime you put your limit in the boat in the first hour, is a good thing. On Sunday we fished topwater for about 6 of the 7 hours we were on the water. Nothing beats watching big fish bust on top. On Monday we had a little shorter topwater action, but bagged more fish. Plenty of double ups and line jerking runs. The next couple weeks will be good fishing as long as the weather cooperates.
