Smith Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

It has been a crazy week or so for me. I am on a roller coaster ride that has no end in sight. I had been fishing and got the news on Wednesday that my boat had seen its last day on the water. I spent Thursday on the phone, and hit the ground running down to Destin, Florida in search of a new boat. Friday afternoon I pulled the trigger and got a new boat. I spent the rest of the day in the bay checking out my new toy. Put plenty of trout and reds in the cooler for the trip back. Spent Saturday morning back at the boat dealer tweaking latches on the boat and replacing the cooler seat. I always take a new boat out to check it for problems. After the quick fixes I headed home. I have spent the last two days making arrangements for things to be installed. I will be back on the water Tuesday night ready to fish. I will be running only night trips for the next month or so. I am still running 4-8 hour trips with the average ones running about 5 1/2 hours. But if you want, I will fish from 6:00 p.m. ‘til morning or when you say "uncle." Call for night rates. Prices vary depending on the time of the trip. Will return to 4 and 8 hour trips around fall, but if you're interested in a night trip on Smith Lake, give me a call or email.
