Had To Slow It Down
Sunday morning was cold and with ice on the deck of my boat I knew the bite mite be a little tuff. Add in the blue bird sky's and high pressure, it set up for all around tuff weather conditions. I fished from big bridge to the dam, I could count the number of fish I saw bust on topwater from 8-11am on one hand. It didn't take long to figure out that I needed to change my mindset for the past week. I have been able to throw just about any moving bait, not Sunday. I caught almost every fish on drop shot or shakey head. Later in the day I fished some small crank baits and jerkbaits. I caught fish, but they were all unders and slots. All the quality fish were caught fishing slow, close to structure. I caught most of my fish in the 5 to 20 foot range.
Hope everybody that I met yesterday enjoys their gift certificate. I will do that one more time this month. So keep and eye out for time and date.
Also checkout my website, I have added a PayPal page for my umbrella rigs
