Smith Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

Smith Lake
December 1st, 2011
Before I get to the fishing, I just wanted to let everybody know I have GIFT CERTIFICATES FOR CHRISTMAS. 4 Hour Trip $200, 6 Hour Trip $240, and 8 Hour Trip for $280. Thats about 10 - 20 percent discount depending on trip selection. Great gift for business clients, friends, family, or even yourself.
Now to the fishing, I hit the lake after lunch today. We got off to a great start today, we caught fish on double bucktail rigs going 1.7 mph with the trolling motor for about and hour straight. Then it slowed down and we decided to move. We stopped at two more spots and pick up a couple more. My client asked if we could do a little bass fishing before dark. So we headed to a spot were I was pretty confident in, but before we could get there we saw fishing busting. We stopped and hammered them, throwing vixens, scroungers, and jerkbaits. It wouldn't have mattered what lure we threw, they were eating. We caught a lot of slots and a couple of good spots ranging for 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 pound. No real big ones, before we know it dark was upon us. Only a 4 hour trip, but plenty of numbers for both stripes and bass.
If your interested in booking a trip or your interested in getting a gift certificate give me a call.
