Spring Special
After spending yesterday on Lay Lake, I'll be back on Smith Lake Thursday. I had some boat issues on Sunday, but those are takin care of now. I am looking to fish as many day this spring as i can and to do that. I figured I'd offer a little incentive. Starting On Monday of Spring Break and running till i can't take it. I will be giving up to $30 off on four hour trips in the morning and night. Offer is good every Sunday evening through Thursday night. Striped Bass trips in the morning will receive only $20 off, but every other trip will receive $30 off. Feel free to call me if you have any questions, I will be happy to answer any.
With this weeks weather and after looking at the ten day forecast. Smith lake will be heating up pretty quick. Striper fisherman need to get there planer boards and ready rig floats out of the closet. The crappie bite has been moving shallower, you can find plenty in tree tops in depths from 4 -15 feet. As for the bass, I except to see the bigger fish moving in more and more every day. You can already find some nice largemouths in flooded brush in 2 - 4 feet on warmer days. I have still been catching most of my quality spots in depths of 15 - 20 feet.
I am going to be posting videos showing me fishing with the lures and techniques I use. All videos will be posted one day after there made, hopefully helping those on the water in the days to follow. Being able to fish the same areas and using baits that you see produce on Smith Lake, not just hear about. It will be up and running by March 25th, under "Techniques Of The Week"
