Greers Ferry - Freshwater Fishing Report

The water level at greers ferry lake is at 454.31 it is 6.72 feet below normal pool of 461.03 and falling.

The bream fishing is still very good shallow as they guard fry from the last moon, try crickets , crawlers and flies.

The walleye are still scattered out in 25-32 feet of water on the edge of flats with shad, try dragging crank baits, crawlers and such.

The catfishing is good on livers, soap, stink bait and small bream.

Crappie are getting back grouped up after a move to more shallower water trolling small crank baits are working as well as jig and minnow combinations

Bass fishing is better as well , with schooling fish,40 feet fish on jigs and c-rigs, bank fish on crank baits and spinner baits , the in between fish on drop shots and jig head , the suspended will bite swim baits and the Arkansas claw swam through them.

The hybrid and white bass are shinning with schooling going on all over the lake and getting better every day and the deeper fish eating spoons and in-line spinners and the magnum Arkansas claw , the bite is more of an all day deal now.

The river is at normal pool.Wax worms ,corn, and red wigglers are the natural baits of choice. Small rebels, spoons, and spinners are also working well. During the late afternoon rainbows are hitting dry flies. Check at the office for the flies of choice.
