Greers Ferry - Freshwater Fishing Report

The water level at greers ferry is at 453.82 that is 7.21 feet below normal pool of 461.03 and falling with generation as they are generating 3 hours in the afternoons, the temp is trying to hold steady mid to upper 70's.

The bass fishing is good with a lot of schooling going on all over the lake schools of largemouth and Kentucky's

And some small mouth as well, try topwater baits, the suspended fish on points you need to use the Arkansas claw, and right bite has a good one as well that seems to be working, the deeper fish out on the bottom are eating c-rigs , Texas rigs, and foot ball heads, the in-between fish will eat a drop-shot,jighead worm, and small jigs, the fish on the bank are eating whacky worms, spinner baits and small crank baits, just look for shad and the fish will be close.

The catfish seem to be running on the smaller side right now, but biting well all over the lake, on cut bait, live bream and soap. try dropping jugs on flats next to deeper water for the best results.

The crappie are still a little off as the weather has made them act crazy and can only get 3 or 4 bites per stop if lucky and it's a long slow deal, try jigs and jigs tipped with minnows in pole timber and over brush piles 15-20 feet deep.

Walleye , are being caught under and around the schooling hybrids following them around eating what they spit up, other wise try dragging leeches and crawlers on a drop shot or bottom rig in 28 to 32 feet of water, also for the suspended fish try trolling crank baits over the flats as well.

Bream have slowed a little and some have moved off the bank and some have not, try crawlers, crickets for the best results.

The hybrid and white bass fishing is excellent , with them being on top schooling and down beneath as well as they are putting on their winter fat, they are from 1 end of the lake to the other, try top water baits ,spoons ,in-line spinners, swimbaits , find the shad and stay with them and the fish are close just be patient and 100-300 fish days are possible.
