Greers Ferry - Freshwater Fishing Report


Subject: Don Schnable report greers ferry lake


The water level at greers ferry lake is at 459.54 feet ,it is 3 feet below normal pool of 462.54 feet and steady, with the rain, the temp is falling ,it is around mid 70's..

The white and hybrid bass are going great on top and down on structure as well, any place there is bait the fish are close and moving a lot, try top waters ,in-line spinners ,spoons and swim baits as well as a-rigs.

The crappie are eating in the pole timber and around most wood 12-18 feet of water on minnows and jigs.

The bream bite is still strong even out to 27 feet of water on crawlers and crickets.

The walleye are back scattered some , some being caught on bottom in 15-27 feet and the rest running under hybrids.

The bass fishing is on and off, a lot of schoolers and scattered fish every where from shallow to 50 feet , try drop shots, top waters , spinner baits, crank baits jigs and a-rigs.

Catfish are eating as well on lines and jugs all over the lake on a variety of baits.
