Greers Ferry - Freshwater Fishing Report

The water level at greers ferry lake is at 45427 and rising it is 6.76 feet below normal pool of 461.03, the temp ranges from 56-61 degrees.

The white and hybrid bass are eating spoons, in-line spinners ,hair jigs and swim baits with some busting every mow and then, most can be caught from 25-62 feet of water with the bite picking up every day, when the water gets down to 50 the bite will really pick up, look for bait and birds, on major flats close to the rivers and creeks.

No report on bream.

The walleye bite is getting better , with the spawn only in 2 months are less , they are being caught at the mouths of rivers and creeks on spoons, jigs and jigs tipped with minnows ,your best luck in 45 feet of water.

The crappie are eating pretty well all over the lake in pole timber, brushpiles and the like in 12-18 feet of water, on minnows and jigs, as well as road runners.

The catfish are still eating well with more blues coming in than anything, try a variet of baits on jugs for the best results.

The bass fishing is good with some shallow and some deep , try spinner baits, jigs ,and small cranks up shallow and for the deeper fish on points the Arkansas claw is working just fine with some good fish being caught, the bottom fish will eat football heads and c-rigged plastics.
