Little Red River - Freshwater Fishing Report

Little Red River

Lindsey's Resort (501-302-3139) had no new report.

Lowell Myers of Sore Lip ‘em All Guide Service said the Little Red continues to fish great during the hot days of August. Daily afternoon generation allows for great wading and drift fishing along the river. Soft hackles with a midge dropper have been a good combination along with bead head pheasant tails, dark midges and sowbugs. Grasshoppers are out in force along the river banks. For fun this time of year, use your favorite hopper pattern for a strike indicator and a nymph as a dropper. Hot pink and white Trout Magnets on gold and chartreuse Trout Magnet jig heads continue to produce good catches for spin fishermen. Remember to use fluorocarbon in low water and while fishing in bright sun to increase your catches.

Target Species:

trout
