Eastern Sierras - Freshwater Fishing Report

Howdy friends and Sierra Drifters. Hope everyone got a good shot at the fish in the Eastern Sierra this summer as we step into fall. After a period of fantastic warm weather, the region will be returning to more seasonal temps. The coming days will bring some moisture in the form of thunderstorms to the region with a good chance of snow in the higher elevations. Water levels are dropping in our local creeks and rivers, and the trout are starting to switch over to fall feeding mode. Some of you serious fall fisherman know that this means big fish are on the prowl for high protein diets which will fatten them up and get ‘em ready for the winter ahead. If you enjoy great fishing and less crowds, the time has never been better to plan that fall fishing trip with friends and family.
