Pagosa Springs - Freshwater Fishing Report

Finally took a need break from teaching skiing at Wolf Creek. The conditions are still great with a 67-inch base mid – way, and 16 inches expected in the next few days. So if you are interested in a powder lesson, give me a call.

Sarah with her first fish of the day.
The river is running around 480 cfs, and has about 2 ft. visibility. The lake is turning over, but don't let this change your mind about fishing. The fishing has been great. We started off with leaches and OJ's, or Red larva's. We caught more on orange. Later in the day black UV's were the ticket. I also saw several guys throwing streamers, and they were into fish as well. Some of the fish seem to be in pre spawn, so eggs should be good as well.

Awesome winter day on the Juan!
Yesterday was sunny and the high was in the mid 40's, today I already have 4 inches on the ground. I have to go do a quick pass with the plow.
