Capt. Sandy Noyes

Long Island Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

The past week has seen an increase of bass and blues coming into our area. The bait schools are getting back together after the two storms split them up. We had good trips early in the week on the ebb tide bringing bass up after the baby squid. The arrival of peanut bunker have got small blues on the feed as well. This week also brought some false albacore into the mix even though we had to travel a bit to find them.

More Fishing Reports:

We do fly fishing and light tackle trips out of Stonington, CT. We fish the Watch Hill Reefs as far East as Newport, RI out to Montauk in the fall and West to the Connecticut River. We also cover the Race, the Sluiceway and Plum Gut. Depending on the time of the year we will be looking for Striped Bass, Bluefish, Bonito, False Albacore and Bluefin Tuna. On our trips we can provide everything except food and clothing.
