Long Island Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Excellent bass fishing around the full moon occurred this week with LOTS of bass, including a 52 lbr. landed on Sun. evening by Mike Chase. Limits of bass came aboard early in the week using various technique's. Top water action with bass and bluefish was excellent during the low light times and live eels after dark accounted for the larger fish. The fall run is approaching when action really increases with fish gorging for the migration. Blackfish season is a month away. This fishery has been excellent the past few years. We have some Sat./Sun. trips open next month.
