Long Island Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Kinfisher report

Season is winding down and fish are on the move. Stripers have been in and out showing up on one tide and gone on the next. There are some big fish around, just have to be at the right place at the right time. This should be the time someone gets a 50+. Bluefish are all over the place, especially in the race. The blackfish are on just about every rockpile, nothing real big yet to speak of but plenty of action. Best bet is get out early for a chance at a monster bass then switch over to blackfish and chase the blues around. Also keep an eye out for bonita and 30 to 40 lb. bluefin tuna. Several bluefin and bonita have been caught in the race. If your making a drift in the race pull up to 250+ feet and diamond jig about 50 feet down and you might just get one. We are booking dates for November blackfish if anyone wants in give us a call. "EDDIE G"........"Keep your head up and rod down"
