Striper fishing is as good as it gets.

Long Island Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Our Monday trip brought an abundance of shots at schools of albies that were in an eating frame of mind. When that started getting old we switched to throwing flies for bass. The fish averaged 12lbs. plus with the best one scaling 25 lbs.We left the bass to go back to the albies and then later back to the bass. Another trip back to the same location brought smaller numbers and sizes of bass. Back along the Conn. and RI. coasts we are finding schools of blues and albies. The water temps are still higher than normal for this time of year.

More Fishing Reports:

We do fly fishing and light tackle trips out of Stonington, CT. We fish the Watch Hill Reefs as far East as Newport, RI out to Montauk in the fall and West to the Connecticut River. We also cover the Race, the Sluiceway and Plum Gut. Depending on the time of the year we will be looking for Striped Bass, Bluefish, Bonito, False Albacore and Bluefin Tuna. On our trips we can provide everything except food and clothing.
