New Haven Ct Harbor Bass Trip

Capt. Pat Juliano
May 9, 2008
New Haven - Saltwater Fishing Report

Last Evening Captain Mike Made our first Striped Bass Trip of the year. He had a couple of other local Captains on board. They hit all the early season spots and only ended up with a few shorts.

They were fishing bunker chunks and the water temp was 52 degrees.

We will try again in a few days after the weather moves thru.

From the shore, The West Haven Sandbar is still the hot spot for schoolies and a few keepers mixed in. Also We have had our first report of a Weakfish caught there on a sandworm.

New Haven Fishing Forecast:

Still looks to be alittle early right now for the Keeper Bass. Another week or two and it will pick up.

I have had a couple anglers email me about running some open boat trips. If anyone else is interested please send me an email and we can try to put a few trips together.
