New Haven - Saltwater Fishing Report

The past week things have started to heat up. Pretty much anywhere you go along the coast line you can find plenty of surface action. Blues have been feeding heavy on peanut bunker.

They will take pretty much anything you throw at them.

Bass in the New Haven- Branford area is still on the slow side. We have been getting a few fish here and there. They are mixed in with the blues on the deeper reefs in the area.

Black Fish is getting better but there still is alot of shorts. The action has been pretty steady on green and asian crabs. I am looking forward to some cooler water temps to get the bit in full swing.
