Striped Bass Moving East

Capt. Pat Juliano
August 12, 2008
New Haven - Saltwater Fishing Report

This is a late report due to me leaving the camera on the boat. I only got Christi out bass fishing 2 times this season, so she has been letting me hear about it. So we made last minute plans and got a good morning.

We got down to the boat at 2:45 am and quickly netted about 60 bunker. By 3:45 we were on our way making a hour long run east up the coast.
Lines in by 4:50 at our first spot. On our first drift I knew there was going to be a problem. The fish finder was blank. it was nothing like a few days earlier when I made the run with Philly Doug. It was still early so I gave it some time. Still nothing, not even Blues. Now I made her get up early and I needed to put her on some fish.
I made a move to another hump on the reef and on the first drift She hooked up. She ended up getting 4 bass to 35 pounds and I got 1 about 18 pounds and a few blues. LOL I got out fished again.
