Crazy Weather, Few Charters As a Result

Capt. Sal Tardella
September 8, 2016
Norwalk Islands - Saltwater Fishing Report

We did several charters over the last ten days of August, and one during Labor Day Weekend, but Hermine forced cancellation of two other trips, and calls have slowed down significantly ever since, which isn't unusual for this time of year.

We'd been catching nice porgies and sea bass, with various-sized bluefish during all of our most-recent trips. Very few charter captains have been out in the rough Sound recently, so we don't have any solid data on what's happening right now.

More Fishing Reports:

Light tackle fishing in Long Island Sound May through November. Targeting striped bass, bluefish, porgies, fluke. 25-foot C-Hawk customized sportsfisherman with fully-enclosed pilot house. Fishing in Florida December through early April. For Sebastian fishing information, please see FLORIDA FISHING page at: www.mybonniecharters.com
