Norwalk Islands - Saltwater Fishing Report

Today was a long day of scouting from 7am until 4:30pm. My buddy, Emilio (Amin) Pandolfi of Danbury came along, and we started off in deep water around the Norwalk Islands, where Emilio got a keeper bass that broke off right at the boat.
We then made our way toward the western part of the Sound, and we encountered many schools of bluefish in the 5-9 pound range off of Stamford, Greenwich and Rye.
We then moved to Hempstead Harbor, where we chunked some fresh bunker chunks, but we didn't get any hits.
Bunker schools have also been seen between Hempstead Harbor and Execution Rock. Right now your best bet is using live bunker to catch large stripers.
Target Species:

STRIPED BASS, BLUEFISH
