Report for Long Island Sound

Capt. Sal Tardella
September 29, 2003
Norwalk Islands - Saltwater Fishing Report

Carl Correnti of Fairfield brought along three colleagues last week. We fished Wilson Cove and brought in school bass, using Creek Chubs. We then caught a large bass on live bunker, but it was lost on its way to the boat. There wasn't any surface bluefish action that day, so we went to Fish Island, where we found a nice pocket of large porgies--with everyone getting his share.

There's still lots of peanut bunker around. Our latest reports are that the blues and striped bass are schooling up and hitting in the afternoon and evening right now. Of course, all that could change within 24 hours.
