Report for Long Island Sound

Capt. Sal Tardella
September 24, 2004
Norwalk Islands - Saltwater Fishing Report

Bob Musich of South Salem NY (General Manager of the Rockrimmon Country Club in Stamford ) brought along his wife, Nancy, and their children, Jake and Jessie, for their first trip aboard “My Bonnie.”  We started out the morning catching porgies nonstop—

plus a 20” keeper fluke brought in by 10-year-old Jake. Then when we moved to the Westport shores the family caught 15 striped bass up to 25” on bucktail lures.

Bob Solentino of Norwalk brought along two lady clients for a short morning trip. The trio caught loads of bluefish off of Cockenoe--all on the surface.

Dan Tepper of Wilton took an afternoon trip.

He enjoyed a nice porgy catch off of Long Neck Point plus some blues caught while blind casting along the shore line.

Derek Shapiro hosted a trip for his father, Ben. It was a so-so day, chasing albacore unsuccessfully, then settling for a porgy catch.
