Norwalk Islands - Saltwater Fishing Report

On Thursday (our first sunny day in more than a week) we took out Joe Miller of Newtown and his father, John Miller, visiting from Fort Myers, Florida. Along for the trip were Joe’s friends and co-workers, Rich and Gary. There were plenty of striped bass to go around, with the largest coming in at 25”, caught off of Darien.
On Friday the rains returned, but stalwart anglers, Bud Barton and Wayne Hurland of Darien, donned their foul-weather gear and fished four hours under wet skies, totaling 23 school bass on bucktail lures. It’s great to have such good sports aboard, willing to endure unpleasant conditions to pursue their favorite hobby.
