Norwalk Islands - Saltwater Fishing Report

Ed Cosinski and his friend, Dr. Steve Bender--both from New York City--had a fine day bringing in striped bass and keeper fluke, all caught on worms.
Marc Pfefferle of Westport brought three of his colleagues for an afternoon charter; the skies looked very threatening as we started out, but the sun managed to break through the clouds for most of the trip. While fishing around the Norwalk Islands they did well with schoolie bass and large fluke. When we moved to 11B we jigged up striped bass up to 33" and bluefish to 9 pounds. Then the foursome brought in a few more bass at the OB, with a grand total of 20 nice fish.
On Saturday morning Russell Glen of New Canaan, with brothers, Bob, and Peter helped their dad, Don Glen, celebrate his 80th birthday with a fishing trip aboard "My Bonnie". The party of five, including Don's grandson, Derek, caught 18 striped bass, two blues, and two fluke.
We ended the week with John Patterson from Binghamton, NY, who brought along his son, Ed, from Rhode Island, as well as Michael O'Neil of Mt. Vernon and Marty Geduldig of Syosset, NY. Another windy morning for all of us, but the boys brought in 20 bass and one fluke.
