Norwalk Islands - Saltwater Fishing Report

Well, "My Bonnie" had her final trip today. But before pulling anchor for the last time this season we had fun this week fishing with two new parties.
On Saturday we fished with Alastair Riach of Weston, with his son, Cameron, and Cam's friend, Micah. We caught a heap of bluefish and some striped bass, jigging off Can 13 near Northport, where hundreds of birds were following the bait. The day ended with some keeper blackfish around the Darien shores.
Sunday's trip was with Daniel Welsh of New Canaan, and his children--Sofia and Thomas. It was another very cold day, but we kept everyone busy bringing in striped bass around the Norwalk Islands, finishing off with some nice-sized blackfish for our final hurrah.
Thanks to all of you who sailed with me this year; I hope you enjoyed the experience.
We'll be heading down to Sebastian FL next week and getting our winter boat ready for a different kind of fishing on the Indian River and the Sebastian Inlet. We should be launched and ready to go before Thanksgiving. If you can, come on down over the next few months, and hop aboard our 22-foot Hydro-Sports bay boat to see what we're talking about. Our FLORIDA FISHING PAGE gives you a sampling of what you can expect to hook into down there.
Have a great holiday season!
