Norwalk Islands - Saltwater Fishing Report

Since launching my boat last week I've been on two scouting trips--from Norwalk all the way up and down the Sound from Mamaroneck to Hempstead Harbor.

Unfortunately, the water temps are still quite cold, and we found little to no bait. However, we know that bunker are to be found in certain spots at certain times. When you find the bunker, you can anchor up and catch some large striped bass during the nighttime hours. But it's hit and miss for the time being.

More Fishing Reports:

Light tackle fishing in Long Island Sound May through November. Targeting striped bass, bluefish, porgies, fluke. 25-foot C-Hawk customized sportsfisherman with fully-enclosed pilot house. Fishing in Florida December through early April. For Sebastian fishing information, please see FLORIDA FISHING page at: www.mybonniecharters.com
